Being mindful in the kitchen takes practice, but we have to start somewhere! B Mindful will help you start making those healthier choices by doing a full pantry sweep.

B Mindful Nutrition

All services include a comprehensive nutrition assessment and may be done in the comfort of your own home:

  • Weight loss/maintenance – individualized programs for adults & adolescents are offered
    • Includes anthropometric measurements (weight, BMI, & waist measurements), sample menus, meal planning tips, and helpful education material.
       
  • Individualized program for managing new and/or chronic conditions (i.e. diabetes, hypertension)
    • Includes sample menus, meal planning tips, and helpful education material.
       
  • Disease prevention
    • Do you have a family history or currently have a family member with a serious health problem?  Let’s work together on nutrition & lifestyle strategies that can help you get healthy, stay healthy, and be that good example for your friends & loved ones.
       
  • Group/family nutrition counseling
    • Let’s face it – not only is adopting a healthy diet & lifestyle personal, it takes a group effort. Especially when it involves multiple individuals living under one roof, or who are just constantly in each other’s company. Many times this equates to 1 individual doing the cooking/shopping and many tummies. How can we work as a team to accomplish a common goal?  Whether that goal is shared among the group or only 1 member of the group.
       
  • Pantry Sweep

We will focus on label reading and review tips for portion control and making smart substitutions.
       
  • Grocery Shopping Tour
    • It’s time to really B Mindful where it counts- the supermarket aisles!  Wherever you shop, having the power to read and understand food labels will get you closer to achieving your goals, whether it’s controlling your blood sugar, your blood pressure, or your weight. Our 1-hour tour will emphasize these skills, help you look past the marketing hype, and guide you toward making more sensible food and bSeverage choices.
